These records are part of Office of the Second Auditor. General Records. These records contain a) county, number of soldiers, rate of apportionment, bond executed, order on auditor given, and the name of agent; b) certificates in lieu of bonds delivered to the banks, name of bank, amount, date of certificate, and coupon bonds delivered; c) list of orders for amounts apportioned to the various counties; d) copy of letter, September 2, 1864, from the second auditor's office to the agent for Loudoun County. These records cover the period from March 2, 1864 to April 1, 1865.
